We have our own digital print and digital-finishing centre, based in Weston-super-Mare.

We set it up specifically to make our own notecards and notebooks.

We love the traditional and artisan in which notecards and notebooks have been made of the years., to the extent that we wanted to keep that classic multi-task production within our own products. So, we introduced digital finishing into key parts of our processes, and we call it our DIGITAL ARTISAN PROCESS. 

And a key part of our selection of which equipment we should have, was whether or not the equipment helps us to retain an artisan quality to what we make. We didn't want one of those photocopiers where sheets of card go in one end, and come out the other as a folded and trimmed as a printed notecard - somehow it seemed somewhat cheating!

We wanted to make our notecards and notebooks by using traditional artisan ways of putting each one through a series of different processes, to create something quite stunning.

We wanted to use different finishes for different notecards as a standard and free part of our service - from making foiled pictures, to having rounded corners, to different sizes and shapes. We have digital finishing equipment that lets us achieve that ambition easily and conveniently. So guess what... we put those finishes into or notecards!

We like to think that the fun we invested in making our first ever notecards, is still there in the notecards and notebooks that we've just created.

That's what drives us forward... making our notecards and notebooks that wee bit special!
